Our People

Dan Ware
Dan Ware

Dan has been working in Fintech, Financial Services and Marketing for the past 18 years. Starting off in a creative and design capacity, moving into B2C and B2B PR and Marketing, and then into Strategic Marketing, Communications and Statistical Analysis.

Dan has worked across numerous brands including Havana Club Rum, Sacla, Anthony Nolan, The Richmond Group and TablePouncer.

From 2012 to 2019 Dan was CEO and driving force for award winning businesses DJS (UK) Limited and PiggyBank.

Dan has been recognised as 2019 Outstanding Young Executive by the Global Business Excellence Awards and one of the Top CEOs in the UK at the CEO Today Awards 2018.

As well as being a business leader, Dan is a big family man, and spends his spare time doting on his wife and three sons.

Ramzi Almasri
Ramzi Almasri

Ramzi is a Big4 and Top10 trained Chartered Accountant with a strong technical audit and accounting background as well as experience in Performance Improvement consultancy. Having then worked in a Senior Group Commercial Finance role as part of the Head Office of a multinational organisation and most recently as a Finance Director of an award winning Fintech business, Ramzi brings both technical and commercial finance experience with him as Chief Finance Officer.

As part of the Senior Management Team, Ramzi will oversee the day to day running of the Finance & HR Function as well as contributing financial expertise to the strategy and operations of the business.

When he isn’t working, Ramzi’s personal project is the ongoing renovation of his home where he lives with his wife and three children.

Darren Cheeseright
Darren Cheeseright

Darren has been a Software Professional for over fifteen years, working in the healthcare, insurance and finance sectors as a Software Engineer, Technical Architect and Software Manager. Darren is proficient in agile and lean software development processes, and has worked on systems for small teams up to systems used by thousands of people. His expertise includes integration with BACS and Direct Debit platforms, third party consumer identification software and communication platform architecture.

Darren is now working as IT Director, where he is working closely with the best information suppliers and building an IT strategy that utilises innovative and cutting-edge technology.

Outside of work, Darren can often be found spending his weekends going for long rides on his Ducati, soaking up the beautiful scenic views around Dorset and Hampshire.

Matt Baker
Matt Baker

Matt has been a technology professional for fourteen years with ten years operating as a software developer. He has implemented software and consulted in a number of sectors including telecommunications, energy, insurance, healthcare, employee benefits and financial services.

Throughout his career Matt has developed bespoke software solutions with a focus on automation, user journeys and reporting. He has experience in integrating with third-party systems including Open Banking, Credit Reference Agencies, Communication Platforms, and Consumer Identification.

Matt thinks “outside the box” enabling him to effectively scrutinise expensive business processes and provide solutions to help boost operational efficiencies whilst reducing costs. His focus is to design, innovate, extend and optimise our digital solutions whilst increasing revenue, reducing cost and improving operational efficiency.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys exploring the Jurassic Coastline with his wife and two children. Matt also has a passion for cycling and skiing, when life permits.

Rob Samuel
Rob Samuel

Rob has had a varied career, spending ten years across the financial industry, starting out in retail banking and moving into alternative lending six years ago.

Rob has earned four promotions during his tenure. Rob now heads up operations for the company.

Rob is involved with all major projects and has exposure to all areas of the business such as Marketing, Credit Risk, Customer Care, Finance and Tech which gives Rob a balanced view. This helps to ensure that all decisions have the key stakeholders’ best interests at the core, whilst reaching commercially viable and sustainable solutions.

In his spare time, Rob is a keen golfer - you can find him on the course most weekends, practicing his swing!

Sam Baxter
Sam Baxter

Sam has worked within the Financial Services industry for the past 11 years. Starting off working as a call centre agent, he worked his way up through various levels of senior management and moved through departments to gain a full understanding of how businesses operate. An opportunity arose to move into Accounts and since then, Sam has studied AAT and moved into ACCA. Sam is known for his longevity in companies and worked within The Richmond Group and Debt Line.

From 2014 to 2019 Sam moved into Accounts within DJS (UK) Limited and managed to move from Accounts Assistant to Group Management Accountant within this short period. It was during this time Sam developed key partnerships with suppliers and lead generators to help reduce costs and increase business relations. Sam developed skills within Health and Safety (IOSH registered) and in the Human Resource sector, soon becoming a key member of the HR team within the award winning DJS (UK) Limited and PiggyBank.

Sam likes to keep active in his spare time, often running or cycling to work. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, whether it’s marathoning Marvel movies at home, or taking luxurious trips abroad.

Marc Linley
Marc Linley

Marc has a demonstrated history of working in the finance, recruitment and marketing industry. Skilled in Risk Management, Banking, Business Development, Business Process Improvement, and Financial Services. Strong human resources professional who has worked within the financial industry for over a decade, from customer service, collections and recoveries.

Marc has worked mainly within the finance and collections sectors over the past decade for numerous brands including Richmond group, Advantage loans, Loan finder, Harvey Sturtt and Amigo Loans.

From 2014 to 2019 Marc was Head of Recruitment and training at DJS (UK) Limited and PiggyBank and was responsible for expanding the call centre from 5 phone based agents to a 60 strong multi channel contact centre.

Marc was recognised in this time with DJS (UK) Limited and PiggyBank with such awards as UK Employee Experience Awards - 2018, recognised for its approach to providing a more efficient, healthier and energised workforce, CICM British Credit Awards - 2019, with Consumer Call Centre Team of the Year, Best Companies Accreditation - 2019 with an Extraordinary three stars accreditation, Sunday Times Best Companies - 2019 and placed 73rd on the list of ‘Best Small Company to Work For and within the South West of England, DJS (UK) Limited were voted 8th.

When not working, Marc loves spending time with his friends and family - from long rambling walks to watching local football matches. He’s always on the go, and has an incomparable zest for life!

Amy Bruchez

Amy has had an incredible and varied career in financial services since she entered the industry in 2014. From working at some of the leading UK banks like Barclays and Monzo, to some of the most well known alternative lenders, Amy has gained experience across a variety of roles and departments.

The vast experience and knowledge that Amy has gained throughout her 7 years in Financial Services means that she's played a key role in designing and maintaining our processes and procedures.

Her phenomenal organisational skills, detail oriented mind and deep rooted drive for achieving excellence in all that she does places her perfectly as our Projects and Compliance Manager.

In 2020, Amy’s skills were recognised by one of the industries largest award bodies, where she was a finalist at both the Credit Strategy Credit Awards and Credit Strategy Women in Credit Awards, nominated for the Rising Star of the Year Award for both. 

Outside of work, Amy is a keen amateur baker, and often employs her son as chief taste tester for all of her creations.

Daniel Hobbs

Since Daniel founded his first Audit Team, he has adopted a thorough and rigorous approach to ensuring that excellence and quality is delivered by all teams that he monitors. 

This is no doubt thanks to his huge breadth of experience in alternative finance, including guarantor lending. Daniel has personally excelled across numerous operational departments including Complaints, Recoveries, Collections and Underwriting.

His dedication and focus means he consistently drives teams to achieve the highest standards of quality. 

Daniel is able to highlight where an operation is excelling as well as where there is room for improvement, and uses his knowledge and experience to bring forward realistic and sustainable solutions and ideas to make sure that the business continues to go from strength to strength. 

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys keeping fit and makes regular use of Bournemouth's long beaches by cycling and running.

Hannah Melvin

Hannah started working for the company in the email communications team, sending bespoke emails to customers. She then went on to create a bank of automated messages to be sent out, before moving to a more marketing based role. Her MA in Creative Entrepreneurship allowed her to seamlessly adapt to such a position, with her experience in marketing across multiple channels. 

Hannah has a natural drive and ability when it comes to writing content, whether this is aimed solely at an individual, or website copy for the wider world. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding the financial industry, built up over working in this sector for the last five years. 

In her free time, Hannah is an avid reader, and enjoys creating intricate and personalised artwork for friends and family.
