Tristan Grant Interview

Tell me a little about yourself (in a few sentences): 

Urbane, sagacious, recent yoga convert, father of two boys.

What has been the proudest moment of your career?  

Launching and building a new-start business that is helping our customers on many levels to make good choices for their future.

What hopes do you have for your industry moving forward? 

As we become more tech driven we utilise those efficiencies whilst ensuring we don’t stray from our most important goal – delivering customer satisfaction and the best journey for our customers. Our smooth journey will help tomorrow’s customers make the transition to electric vehicles and we will be at the forefront of this change.

How do you think a business can nurture employee buy-in for its objectives and values?  

The only real way for a business to do this is to be completely authentic. If the staff truly believe in the values of the business, it shows, and new employees will buy into the values too.

What advice would you give to someone looking to work in a similar role to yours?  

Be yourself and be authentic, never forget the vision you had to get to that position. Always make sure you’re learning on your journey. Work your butt off, nothing comes easy but the best things in life require hard work.

What do you do to unwind?  

I’m a pretty active guy, so I often go to the gym, perhaps do some yoga or paddle-boarding. I do also like lounging in front of the TV sometimes too!

What are the values within your job role?  

The main value my team shares is genuinely wanting to help our customers get the best deal. We wouldn’t be doing what we’re doing if we didn’t care about our customers.

What advice would you give to your younger self?  

Keep positive, no matter what life throws at you.

How would your partner describe you in three words?  

Adventurous, determined, positive.

What celebrity would you cast to play you in a movie about your life? 

Christian Bale.
